Maria kam Mitte Mai 2017 aus Spanien nach Lesbos. Im Winter arbeitet sie in der Touristikbranche in Andorra. Maria beabsichtigt, bis Mitte November im Team „Volunteers for Lesvos“ zu bleiben.

This is Maria from Spain.
Monday, Wednesday and Saturday I make the food boxes.
Every Tuesday I prepare the order for all week.
Every afternoon I join with Proemaid swiming lessons with adults (usually moms).
I help in the kitchen when they need me.
All this jobs is in Pikpa.*
Moreover I’m gonna start to work in light without borders. It’s a project with an ophthalmologist and we provide glasses to the residents in Moria, Kara Tepe* and Pikpa.
I’m gonna be the coordinator, I will arrange the appointments.

Kara Tepe ist neben Moria das zweite große Flüchtlingscamp. Hier sind vor allem Familien und schutzbedürftige Personen untergebracht.
Pikpa ist eines der wenigen unabhängigen, selbstorganisierten Camps auf Lesvos, in dem vor allem „vulnerable cases“, besonders schutzbedürftige Personen, Zuflucht finden.
